Siemens and Agbotic announced a joint initiative to validate a new artificial intelligence model created by Agbotic for improving farming efficiency, with potential additional industrial applications. The collaboration aimed to integrate Agbotic's approach for automation, machine learning, and AI in agriculture with Siemens' global install base of industrial edge devices and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) — designed to reduce the need for complex manual programming and enable rapid auto-response, iterative tuning, and continuous optimization across factory operations.
Speaking on the announcement, John Gaus, founder and CEO of Agbotic, said: "With Siemens, we will be the first on the planet to operate artificially intelligent greenhouses on autopilot, and then we will help everyone else do the same with their factory."
